Heroines of Sound proudly announces a special live performance in celebration of the release of Katharina Ernst’s highly anticipated new album, EXTRAMETRIC II. Renowned for her genre-defying approach to rhythm and composition, Katharina Ernst returns with a powerful and immersive body of work. EXTRAMETRIC II dives deep into the sonic potential of percussive performance—pushing the boundaries of polyrhythmics with friction, glitch, clash, and control. Described by Ernst as “an even deeper exploration of polyrhythmicson acoustic drums and electronic devices,” the album presents complex, oscillating soundscapes that unfold like rhythmic rituals. Lush, cinematic, and radically inventive, each composition is crafted with an exacting hand.

Take a deep dive into a rich spectrum of immersive drones, where polyrhythmic structures unfold through drums, analog synthesizers, voice, and amplified acoustic instruments – all driven by the raw physicality of sound.
