Resilience

»Resilience« is a personal work by Chikiss, based on her 2017 album New Season and is being presented live for the first time. The album’s haunting, minimalist electronic compositions were created during a period of intense inner transformation, when a sudden illness left Galina without a voice for over a month. In this silence, breath became both the foundation and the rhythm of the compositions. As the music evolved, so too did her voice – gradually returning and intertwining with the sounds in a quiet act of healing. A meditative journey of resilience, silence, and unexpected inspiration.

Britt Brown (Not Not Fun Records) described Chikiss’ songs as »nocturnal pools of cosmic drift, hallucinatory pulse, and sensual whisper… Satellite ballads and solaris pop weave through woozy spectral ambience, and reflect her belief that ‘music comes from the subconscious, from sensations of the moment.«

Galina Ozeran, widely known by her artist name Chikiss, is a Belarusian-born singer, composer and producer, based in Berlin. Embracing music as an ongoing artistic journey, she has evolved from her roots in post-punk and experimental rock to a distinctive sound that blends synth-pop, minimalist electronics, and electro-acoustic textures – often enriched with noir-jazz undertones. Her work draws inspiration from Soviet cinematic and pop experiments, as well as the haunting atmospheres of David Lynch soundtracks, all interwoven with powerful and existential lyricism. Galina Ozeran has released numerous full-length albums and collaborated on various projects with artists including Dorit Chrysler, Eva Geist, Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Die Wilde Jagd, and Plattenbau. Her signature use of unique samples and a DIY approach to music production position her as a standout voice in the contemporary avant-pop landscape.
