Kateryna Zavoloka aka Zavoloka (born in Kiev, Ukraine) is a sound artist, composer,  and performer devoted to orchestrating uncompromising experimental music free from genre-based definitions and styles. Her works always stem from a strong conceptual foundation and exhibit deep artistic research, combining traditional and synthesized elements. Zavoloka has played as a special guest at a performance by Aphex Twin (UK) and performed with visual artist Laetitia Morais (Portugal). She runs the Kvitnu label together with Dmytro Fedorenko (aka Kotra) and received an award at the 2005 Prix Ars Electronica. She is currently based in Berlin.
